“I used to sell homemade cards with silly sayings in them at the bottom of my driveway. My neighbors were entirely too accommodating. I learned from a young age that the thing we hunger most for, cannot be found in the grocery store, cafe or restaurant. We hunger for a nugget of wisdom that clarifies our belief that as unique as we are, what makes us most content is our ability to relate to others. Published at 14, I found out that my words had merit. I never looked back.” – Kate-Madonna Hindes
What started as an internal look inside over 15 years ago, has evolved into something I never imagined. GirlmeetsGeek was a blog about life, love and everything in between. It started as soulful writing on message boards, away messages on AOL and then, it moved over to Livejournal.
Now at its permanent home since 2007, GirlmeetsGeek has evolved into published articles, op-ed pieces and a never-ending journey to show the daughter of a single mom, just how far she can go.
