{Diane} is doing exactly what she should be doing, she’s spreading her cheer and grace around Europe.  I was remarking today how long it’s been since I’ve seen her.  Tonight, I signed onto Facebook and she had me tagged in this photo saying, “Read this and thought of Kate.”  I wondered then, why we let the times go so long between seeing friends and why we push our appreciation and love to the side as we allow the daily grind to take over.  I miss her face. If you want to know good, know Diane. Sometimes, I’m absolutely floored by her grace.

Some gifts are so beautifully simple and powerful beyond measure.  Tonight, I ran into an old friend from grade school at Target. We second-glanced and then we hugged. Suddenly we weren’t sharing information about our grades or boys, we were sharing information about our beautiful children and lives.  We used to have pool parties at my house and I realized seeing her face, how much I missed actually seeing her.

We have the power to brighten someone’s day in one, single, click. It couldn’t be any easier, could it? I’m empowered to pass it on… are you?
