{Elated}: My ABCNEWS.com Interview

ABCNews.com contacted me at the end of last week to talk about my experience in advocating for better care for cancer patients.  I was interviewed by the wonderful Katie Moisse and spoke about my frustrations and advocacy for my own care.  This morning, I was honored to see the incredible article and FANTASTIC reporting.  Pre-existing conditions, Medicaid and insurance loopholes are barriers to QUALITY care.  Stand with me and demand more from our nation’s insurers.

When I saw it, I cried.  I thought, “this is for anyone who struggled to get past the red-tape of corporate greed.”  And then I danced a little.  When we speak up for others, amazing things happen.  I am so proud of ABCNews for covering cervical cancer and my story.  I cannot wait to go back to Capitol Hill next year and spread my belief that GOOD care, is essential to our nation’s survival.
