{Elated}: My ABCNEWS.com Interview

ABCNews.com contacted me at the end of last week to talk about my experience in advocating for better care for cancer patients.  I was interviewed by the wonderful Katie Moisse and spoke about my frustrations and advocacy for my own care.  This morning, I was honored to see the incredible article and FANTASTIC reporting.  Pre-existing conditions, Medicaid and insurance loopholes are barriers to QUALITY care.  Stand with me and demand more from our nation’s insurers.

We Did It, Ava-Madonna! :)

When I saw it, I cried.  I thought, “this is for anyone who struggled to get past the red-tape of corporate greed.”  And then I danced a little.  When we speak up for others, amazing things happen.  I am so proud of ABCNews for covering cervical cancer and my story.  I cannot wait to go back to Capitol Hill next year and spread my belief that GOOD care, is essential to our nation’s survival. It’s not often I’m news next to Rep. Wiener and Steve Jobs. :) Go Cancer Prevention, Go!
