No one can take away your passion if you know how to pass-it-on. Passion that is focused outward has happened because someone found their ‘T’- or center. The only difference between passion and passing it on? Is just one letter.
I got off the phone with a good friend minutes ago. We were both struck by the raw emotion that comes with using emotional force to gain clarity. It never works like we so hope it will. Those that spend their days ruling with conflict and rigor do not bend to a plea to understand a bigger picture.
The problem with passion is that the entire world is a wind to the flame of what we so want to be. In a world of being easily extinguished, we build our protective, brick walls so high that no air is let in to fan our flame and eventually… if we forget who we are, we fade away.
This, is how passion dies. Suddenly, the force of fighting for what we want becomes too much, too heavy- too burdensome. Fighting the currant loses all it’s thrill after the first, (then the fifteenth,) wave overtakes what the last glimpse of the horizon looks like- find your balance, then upward we kick.
Some view the recession as an evil, guilt-ful zealot who stole jobs, finances and dreams from the human race. I view it as the great equalizer. Suddenly, the former CEO’s and executives I speak to, understand the human dilemma. We are all the same- and this is where I find that my voice is understood most.
At the end of the day: We all just want to feel that we made a difference. To some of us: It’s about finance- adding a transaction to an account. To others? The dilemma hits closer to home as we see our children’s eye sparkle across the table and hear their stories as fingers stuff hungry mouths. And to those that align closest to me? We want to wake up everyday doing what we do because when we speak of how much we love it all: our blood is electrified- our mouths water and suddenly putting the passion back in jobseekers is almost the air I breathe.
I’m convinced that I’m the luckiest person in the world- to have a chance to reach out you, creating change What I want most? Is to help you realize the POWER and PROMISE you have- if you’d only tear down a bit of the brick wall.
We will always fight the powers that be- the ‘leaders’ that dictate with angry emotion; takers and those that forgot the passion long ago. It seems to me that those that speak the loudest about the RULES are those that know the least about their own true power.
I’m meeting incredible people along my path- and as the good friend earlier said, “Each position is merely a stopping point for your next, great opportunity.” I asked him why he wasn’t scared of re-organization, or the chaos that comes with new leadership in the workplace and he simply said, “I’m on my way to save the world. This isn’t my stopping point.”
He, already IS. Something I speak about- the power to be who we so want by simply accessing the confidence and voice to say, “I already AM.” I’ve found my center- kicking to the surface.
Say it with me: Bring it on- World. I’ll say, Bring it On Employer.… We’re ready.
