“Unlike a drop of water which loses its identity when it joins the ocean, man does not lose his being in the society in which he lives. Man’s life is independent. He is born not for the development of the society alone, but for the development of his self” -B. R. Ambedkar
We spend years figuring out how to make our vision coexist with others, yet we forget that our vision is what separates us from the massive pool of mediocrity that we are trying so hard to swim with. My mind, I’m figuring is my best flotation device. However I look, whatever degree I hold- the only thing that makes me vibrant outside of a rainbow of colors is the passion I value in myself. Self-Marketing is the only defense to true extinction. I see this in so many ways: We have children, we write books, we develop useful tools for everyday living: We think that by simply doing that action we are now unable to have our name or spirit extinguished forever. In a simple world, that is the perfect solution: a 2D algorithm to keep us calm at night. It’s no solution at all, really.
I want to live with polite recklessness- to mitigate each hole in my path but have enough brazen force to soar over. That’s my marketing campaign: To touch whatever I can with good, but not be afraid to stand up for the internal brand I so believe in. All I have is what I own and have the ability to portray.
